The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) selected Técnicas Reunidas to carry out the modernization and reconstruction of the Heydar Aliyev Refinery in Baku. The contract awarded to Técnicas Reunidas involves revamping major process units within the diesel block (crude and vacuum, FCC, kero treatment and amines) and gasoline block (CCR, naphtha hydrotreater and VGO hydrotreater), modifying and expanding the associated utilities and offsites, and coordinating the work with the existing refinery and contractors for other packages in the overall project
Técnicas Reunidas had to overcome the challenges associated with low level design and coverage studies on site in order to establish centralized telecommunications/IT equipment. Accurate indicators were required to provide the exact parameters for order. There was a need to redefine the customer support requirements and devise a working solution and systems that would enable the provision of high-quality services to the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery.
ED worked on the design, engineering, procurement and construction of telecommunications/IT equipment for the modernization and reconstruction of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, and participated in commissioning and start-up.
ED also worked on the submission of the documents, files, diagrams, drawings, and documentation of the equipment according to vendor drawings and our client’s data requirements.
