Voice and Cabling Infrastructure for BP Landmark office

The Client: BP

BP (British Petroleum), one of the world’s seven oil and gas “supermajors”, has been present in Azerbaijan for almost three decades. BP Azerbaijan aspires to be a valued, trusted and long-term partner in the development of Azerbaijan’s hydrocarbon resources. It is committed to conducting a safe and sustainable business that benefits all its stakeholders and society as a whole.

Business Challenge

BP Azerbaijan grew significantly in 2005. The company faced the challenge of expanding its office space in the Landmark Building in Baku within a tight timeframe and without any disruption to its daily operations. Such expansion required a corresponding expansion of IT infrastructure before BP staff moved in. The new equipment had to be installed and integrated into the expanded office in a very short time.

Solution

BP invited ED to expand voice and cabling infrastructure in the new office space. ED supplied, installed and configured a Siemens HiPath PABX system and integrated it into the existing BP Azerbaijan voice infrastructure. We also supplied and installed passive telecommunications equipment and structured cabling to enable user connectivity to the data and voice services. Our team of highly experienced project managers, engineers and technicians had to work 24/7 to deliver the required scope of work before users moved in. We delivered the project on time, within budget and according to the BP global IT standards.
